ROAD CLOSURES & ALTERNATE ROUTES (as of July, 2007)

The following is a list of road closures on roads we use for cycling with alternate routes (usually) offered. Please contact us if you are aware of any other closures that affect local cycling or if you have more suitable alternate routes.

Union St. Lambertville has been made ONE WAY from Elm St to Coryell St due to construction on Main St (Rt.29).

Duration: This traffic pattern will last through the spring of 2007 and Lambertville police will (may) ticket wrong-way bicyclists.
 

Point Pleasant Pike, between Tollgate Rd. and River Rd. (Plumstead Twp.)

Duration: Road closed indefinitely to Westbound traffic as of December 2004.
Detour: (Challenging) Right at Tohickon Hill, then Left onto Groveland and Left onto Wismer to Point Pleasant Pike.
OR
(Very Challenging) Left at River Rd., then Right at Ferry Rd. then Right at Tollgate Rd. to Point Pleasant Pike.
 

River Road/Rte. 32, between Taylorsville and Rte 532 (Upper Makefield Twp.)

Duration: Bridge closed indefinitely as of September 2004.
Detour: Presently, bikes can get through or take Taylorsville (CAUTION - busy road!) to left on Rte. 532 to River Rd.
 

Geigel Hill Road, between Sheep Hole and Bunker Hill (Tinicum Twp.)

Duration: Bridge closed indefinitely as of October 2002.
Detour: From Durham Road take Geigel Hill, Left onto Clay Ridge, Right onto Beaver Run to Geigel Hill;
     OR
From Durham Road take Headquarters Road, Left onto Cafferty to Geigel Hill.
 

Old Durham Rd., between Stump and Groveland

Duration: Bridge closed indefinitely.
Detour: Bridge over Geddes Run Creek is passable via foot.
 

Tollgate Road, between Point Pleasant Pike and Groveland Road in Plumstead Twp.

Duration: Closed indefinitely. Bridge over Geddes Run Creek is closed to pedestrian traffic - cross at your own risk!
Detour: Take Ferry Road south to Carversville-Wismer west, cross Point Pleasant Pike, then north on Groveland to Tollgate.
 

Pineville Road, between New Hope Road and Stony Hill Road

Detour: Take Holicong Rd to Lower Mountain Rd
 

Kellers Church Road / bridge repair between Deep Run Rd. & Meadow Lane

Duration: Bridge closed indefinitely
Detour: Right on Deep Run , Left on Quarry R and Left on Creek
