Covered Bridge Ride: Frequently Asked Questions

Q: What if rain is falling or the roads are wet?

A: The CBBC Covered Bridges Ride has been held rain or shine since CBBC started the ride, twenty nine years ago. Maybe a solution is to come and ride a shorter route and enjoy our food and pick up your T-Shirt if you ordered one.
 

Q: Can I register on the day of the event?

A: Yes, but you will not get the sweet deal for a shirt for $5. We will sell shirts after the ride registration on Sunday for $15, as supply lasts.
 

Q: What time do the rides begin?

A: Ride Start Times:

8:00 a.m. 63-mile ride, Sunday only.

8:30 a.m. 50-mile ride, Sunday only.

9:00 a.m. 33-mile ride, Sunday only.

9:30 a.m. 30-mile ride, both days!

9:30 a.m. 20-mile ride, both days!

10:30 a.m. 6-mile ride, Saturday only.

 

Q: How much time before the "ride start time" should I arrive?

A: Give yourself at least a half hour before your ride start time. You will need time to park your car, and then to sign-in for the ride.
 

Q: Where are the cue sheets for the rides?

A: Cue sheets are not given out until the day of the ride.
 

Q: Why can't I get a copy of the cue sheets before the ride?

A: We may have to make adjustments to the ride due to weather and road conditions, so the final version isn't available until the day of the ride.
 

Q: Where does the ride start and end?

A: The ride starts and ends (as well as the picnic lunch after the ride) at Tinicum Park in Erwinna Pennslyvania.
