Don't be left out! RSVP today for our Fabulous February Fitness Fling at Cornerstone Fitness
Saturday, February 6 (3-5:30pm), Cornerstone Fitness, 740 Edison Furlong Road, Furlong PA. An afternoon of fun and fitness to warm us up on a cold winter day. Take advantage of any or all of the following classes:
Let's Dance: a blend of Zumba and line dancing that will have you working and laughing.
Mad Dogg Spinning: ride at your own pace or let the instructor take you to new levels of sweat.
Gentle Yoga: guided movement, breathing and stretching.
CBBC will be picking up 2/3 of the $15 fee for this event. That means you pay only $5 for an afternoon of great classes.
BYO: sneakers/spin shoes, yoga mat, and towel. CBBC will provide light snacks. Plus! Everyone who attends will be included in a drawing for a $25 gift card to Doylestown Bike Works. Space is limited! See your January newsletter for how to RSVP. NEW: Please submit (electronically) the following simple registration form:
If you already mailed in an RSVP please use the link above to submit the form now. Mailed RSVPs/payments accepted only until Feb. 1; otherwise please submit this form to reserve your place and pay at the door.
Anarchy! Chaos! The Collapse of Civilization!
This may be CBBC’s future if nobody steps up to nominate themselves or someone else for the positions of Club President and Vice President. Our current leaders, who have been serving for 3 years, are stepping down and we need someone to fill their shoes. The job is fun, rewarding, and a great way to give back to CBBC. Linda (current president) and Michael (current VP) would be happy to help transition the new President and VP, so if you’ve never served on the board before, don’t worry: We won’t leave you hanging.
We’re also looking for a new Social/Program Chair: someone to lead a committee and organize social meet-ups, events like the bike maintenance clinic, the annual banquet and our holiday party.
Elections will be held on Monday, February 22 at the Northampton Public Library in Richboro (7 pm in the Board Room). Please come out to nominate yourself or someone else or to vote for our current slate of candidates:
Vice President: Open
Treasurer: Steve Mankowski
Secretary: Joyce McGettigan
Rides Director: Karen Graziano
At-Large #1: Joe Majdan
At-Large #2: Rich Whittemore
At-Large #3: Rick James
At-Large #4: Rich Sadler
Time to Renew!
Great news--you can now join the club or renew your membership right here on our site. No fees. No third parties. No emailed ads or spam. Renewals are done through CBBC’s secure site.
Your membership fee of just $2 a month (just $1.75 if you renew for 3 years) supports tons of member benefits, including a robust website where you can post and view our Forum and ride offerings, our InGear newsletter, supplemental insurance for club members, an appreciation program for the ride leaders who make our rides happen, facility rental and food for summer all-level rides, safety class reimbursement and much more.
Be sure to renew on time so you can join club rides and maintain access to post rides and post messages to the Forum. Log in to the site before proceeding with your renewal. If you’ve never logged in before, go to Member Login under Member Access menu and Request a login. February is the month memberships expire; see the address panel of your InGear newsletter to see what year yours expires.

Ad Hoc Rides
CBBC promotes the fun and safety of riding in groups! The ride calendar is established to be able to offer a variety of rides at all levels and allow members to plan their rides in advances. As we know our lives are not always predictable! Members are encouraged to post “Ad hoc” rides on the Forum and allow other members to join them.
Here is the “official” definition of a CBBC Ad Hoc Ride:
-The ride may be posted on the CBBC Forum no earlier than 48 hours of the ride date and time. Try to give members at least 24 hours notice.
-The ride is not considered a CBBC sponsored club ride.
-No approval needed by the Ride Coordinators.
-A cue sheet or sign in sheet is not needed.
-Ad hoc rides are not covered by the Club insurance policy.
-Ride start location and time is up to the ad hoc ride leader. Try not to compete with a regular club ride – those ride leaders are a precious few!
-The ride will not be credited toward the ride leader program.
-Please ride safely and courteously (especially if you’re wearing your club jersey!)
Check Out CBBC's Forum!
The new CBBC Forum is an online discussion site where members can hold conversations. It's similar in function to our former CBBCtalk listserv (which retired in February), but it allows access through our site. You can also subscribe to one, a few, or all topics to receive email notifications of new posts.
You need to be a CBBC member and log in in order for the items under the "Member Access" menu to be available, and to post to the Forum. If you've never logged in to the site but are a current member, use the Request a Login link there.
NOTE: If you are part of a "family" membership, you'll both need to utilize the primary member login name/PW for now. We plan to add capability for a second login as soon as it's available. We'll continue to share more tips in the Forum, in InGear, and in articles on the site like this one.
