Given the rain expected Sat Jan 5, here is a new schedule for January hikes:

Saturday January 12, 10 am, Carversville and Fleecydale Rds Start: Bulls Island rear parking lot Description: We’ll cross the bridge into PA and hike up Carversville Rd, past the house made from a silo and a caboose and head up to Carversville and then back down Fleecydale Rd passed the Frank Lloyd Wright house. Round trip: 5 miles

Saturday, January 19, 10 am, Tohickon Creek gorge (Tohickon Valley / High Rocks / Ralph Stover parks).
Start: main parking lot for Tohickon Valley County Park (Lat / Long = 40.4383 / -75.0762; just outside Point Pleasant, PA, and about 6 miles north of Stockton-Center Bridge; as you travel up Rt 32 on the PA side, after crossing over the Tohickon Creek in the village of Point Pleasant, make a left turn up Cafferty Rd and follow it 1 mile to the parking lot on your left side)
Description: This hike will take us from ridge top to canyon bottom (and back again) along the Tohickon Creek gorge, with both impressive views and intimate connections to the creek itself. We’ll start at Tohickon Valley park, descend into the gorge and then back up to the High Rocks vista, and continue on to the unique and historic wooden bridge over the creek in Ralph Stover State Park. Naturalist Erik Silldorff from the Delaware RiverKeeper Network will be leading us on this hike and sharing his local knowledge. Round Trip: 5-6 miles

Saturday January 26, 10 am, Zeta Lockatong Trail
Start: Zeta Lockatong trail parking lot. To drive there from Lambertville, take RT 27 through Stockton and make a right onto Federal Twist Rd. Make first right on Federal Twist Rd (Ravens Rock Rd) and go ¼ mile. Parking lot is on right before the Roebling bridge.
Description: This is a pretty walk in the woods. First part is flat along the Lockatong Creek and in the woods, then we climb a path up a good size hill and cut through a field, returning on Federal Twist and Ravens Rock Rd. As a cyclist it is a whole different experience walking down Federal Twist.
Round Trip: 5-6 miles with a short, strenuous climb
