HomeDonate Cycle Gear

Ever wonder what to do with those old bikes, wheels, pedals, saddles, and other miscellaneous bike parts a
ccumulating in your basement or garage? Donate them to worthy causes! There are a number of local organizations that can use them and, as qualifying 501(c)3 nonprofits, can even give you receipts for tax-deductible donations. Here are a few of our favorites:

Neighborhood Bike Works

  • nonprofit educational organization in Philadelphia
  • increases opportunities for urban youth in underserved neighborhoods in greater Philadelphia by offering educational, recreational, and career-building opportunities through bicycling
  • also promotes cycling as a healthy, affordable, environment-friendly form of transportation

Cadence Cycling Foundation

  • nonprofit youth development organization that uses the sport of cycling as a means to connect with underserved youth and help them grow into healthy, happy, and responsible adults

Trenton Boys and Girls Club Bike Exchange

  • donate your old bike(s) to the New Jersey Bike Exchange, help families and kids in Trenton get a bike, and receive a tax deduction in the process
  • You'll find info about donating a bike by using the Trenton Boys and Girls Club link above.
  • bikes may also be dropped off at various bike shops including Firehouse Cycles in Yardley as well as Jay’s Cycles and Kopp’s Cycles in Princeton and many other NJ locations

If you know of others, please let us know.  In addition, here are links to a couple important area cycling advocacy organizations that you can become a member of or make tax-deductible donations by cash, check, or CC:
