If you would like to receive email notifications of posts made in the CBBC Forum, follow these steps:
1. Click on (open) the specific Board Category (e.g. Comments) from which you want to receive email notifications and click on the blue button at top labeled SUBSCRIBE.

2. When you click on SUBSCRIBE it should turn to UNSUBSCRIBE; you will now receive emails of the posts made in this category.

3. If you no longer wish to receive notifications, then click on UNSUBSCRIBE to flip it back to SUBSCRIBE.

4. Repeat the above steps for each of the categories you want email notifications from. If you want them all, you’ll need to subscribe to each one. Posted messages can also be viewed on the site at any time (doesn't require log in).

This is working for me, but I'm not receiving my emails in a timely manner. "Adhoc" rides worked fine in that I received Rich Sadler's email about x-country skiing last night, shortly after it had been posted to the forum. However, I'm not receiving emails from "Changes to Posted Rides" until it's way too late. For example, I just received the email regarding the cancellation of today's EBeaSier ride and I've yet to receive the email concerning Karen's C-ride for today. Same thing happened last weekend ... the ride cancellations came 24 hours or so later. I've come to rely on the email notifications from the various area clubs and don't like that I now have to go to the forum in addition to checking my emails. Is there a problem in the system, or is this just the way it is? Or maybe it's my email server? I'm on yahoo.com.

Hi! I wish I knew enough to answer that; I got all of the emails from the 3 Forum posts you mention right away, with Rich's being the last/latest one. I'm sure you double-checked that you are subscribed to "Changes to Posted Rides" category too. I only ask because the EBeaSier and C-ride changes were also sent out on the listserve, so wondering if it's messages from that that you are actually having delays with.

In your email Inbox, messages from the Forum are from "CBBC Forum"; messages from the listserve are from "[name of whoever sent it] via CBBCtalk". Just in case that helps anyone. Let me know if it does.

I don't seem to be having the email delays. I received Karen's post at 9:11 pm, and Tim's C+ ride post at 7:49 am this morning which is about the time he posted. Rosemary

I also have Yahoo mail, just got Barry's post about his Thursday ride ,time stamped 1:21 am today, that's 3 1/2 days late. Many others have arrived more than a day late. I'll just go with the forum for all postings.
